Today I might have talked to and taken a first step towards my future!

I don’t know if it will turn out to be anything, but it was a very good experience.  I sat down with a company I was interested in helping out over the next term.  We had a good lunch, and good conversation.   Sometimes when you talk to people you don’t click, or their goals don’t really meet yours.

Today was good, very good.  This company has the same beliefs I do, and is working towards something I can believe in too.

I’m going to leave the name out for the moment, as I learn more and get more info.. I will share.

Needless to say, I was very impressed and can’t wait to see where it goes.

Wouldn’t it be cool if I found where I will be working next, or the next business where I can gain experience?  I can’t tell you how happy I am to have something out there that might turn into something.

Could I be getting some direction on where things are going to take me this next year??

Nope.

Wouldn’t that be nice to read, hell..  it would be even that much better to write.  I’m still in the loop of looking, but thankfully. .  the process is coming a long.

The only new thing that has been added to my plate is a Ph.D program.  Not like I would probably do it, but it is something I am looking at.  Why not look at all your options right?

After a couple of telephone calls… I lost my thoughts.  End of this blog post.

Today I sat down and got some major help with my resume, and my cover letter. .  Basically, my cover letter idea sucked.  Resume, not so bad.  It was nice getting some objective information on it, and I hope I am able to build on the advice I recieved.

I talked to the study abroad office and talked about my time in France.  I kind of gave them the low down about the campus, the town, the experience.  I didnt’ paint a good picture, yet I had a good time. Go figure.  Perhaps, the experience was good for other reasons. . not for the “school” aspect.

What else is new. .  Oh..  I have a frisbee team for the fall. .  I’m playing with my friends again!!!!  I can’t wait to get out on the field.  CAN’T wait.  It’s been over a year and half since last played with many of them.  Like an old glove, I have a feeling that we are going to fit well together again.  Actually, this could be one of the highlights of the week.  Frisbee is fun, but the social part is really what makes it a sport I enjoy.  Spending time with friends.

I also spent some time on campus talking to some of the staff in the MBA offices. Not like this should make the highlight page, but it did.

Who wants to hear about me working?

I sent out a couple emails to a couple of businesses I am interested in working with this fall.  Helping them in anyway I can.  Both of them are up in Portland, but it’s all good.  If I could only find a company in Perth!

Time to bust a move and do something else.

How is it possible to go through a week and not have a thing to write about?

I sure as hell don’t know.  I do know that I visited a friend in Portland today, so that was good.  Fun times for shizzle.

Ummmm..  I learned today that the guest of honor for a party I was throwing at the high school wasn’t going to be able to make it. . so I need to reschedule it.  It’s all good, not like I needed to do a bunch of work for it.  Just had to change it, and reporting.
I still haven’t seen one of my friends in like 3 months.  He must be really busy, and I feel like I am annoying him when I call.  I guess I could try one more time.  Doesn’t hurt, right?

Work is work. .  another week in the toilet.  Or, should I say down the drain?

I got some MJ playing in the background.  He sure did make some good music, right??

I still have no idea of where I am going to work when I finish this program, maybe I should just travel the world and live off the money I make from various jobs.  Sounds fun right?  I might have a better chance of finding something for work, this economy sucks right now. Would you travel with me?

Okay. .  not much else to write, report, or talk about.

Stuff happens, and here I am writing about it.

Today, as you can already guess. . wasn’t the best day I have ever had.

How can people be so rude?? You know??  Like water off a ducks back, I have let it wash off. Life is WAY to short to worry about what people worry about.  It just gets me sometimes.   I just need to remember not to take it personally.  Even though it can be personal shots.

I am a little disappointed in some things I am find and learning about things in this town.  There is pleny to enjoy, don’t get me wrong. . but there is some much here that I don’t understand, and I wish I didn’t have to deal with.

What I do know..  there is only so much I can do.  I act the best I can, and do what I think is right. .  nothing more, nothing less.  What others think, feel, do. .and say is up to them.  They are the one that need to live in their skin.  Thank goodness, I don’t have to.

Tomorrow is a new day, and new smiles.

Have you ever received an email that was like venom??  Well, I just got one.

The things people say.  . . whew!   The school year hasn’t even started yet.

I am for f*cki*g sure that I am ready to leave this place, this city, and all that is here.

Monday morning. . once again.

What can I say for a Monday morning?  How about I’m ready for Friday??? . .

It has been at least a week since I woke up in the morning and saw a sunny day.  It’s been cloudy the last week. . or it would burn off by afternoon.  Today could be warm.

I had a lot of coffee over the weekend, I hung out with a lot of people I hadn’t seen in  a long time.  It was good catching up with everyone, and swapping stories.  I have a feeling this week is going to bring more of the same.  At least I hope it does, it would be a long week if I don’t see any friends.
